Jad J. Babik, B.S., B.A., M.P.A.
Jad is Dr. Babik’s brother, and holds the 13th spot among Dr. Babik’s 12 siblings. Jad handles the financial and managerial side of CrossRidge Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. His background in dentistry relates to his extensive research in the integration of technology in the health field and in the progression of healthcare policies. Jad accomplished his first Bachelor degree in Business Marketing and has recently acquired his certification in International Business from Virginia Commonwealth University. He also has a great passion for the public field where he holds a Bachelor in Arts in Political Sciences and a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
Ghada Francis R.D.H., B.S.
Mrs. Ghada Francis started working with Dr. Babik as a Registered Dental Hygienist in January 2006. She Graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dental Hygiene in 2000. Her personal pledge is “to always serve my patients.” Besides her passion and dedication to her job, she enjoys spending her time with her husband Mark and their son Jean-Mark as well as her wonderful family and friends.
Kathy Sweet R.D.H.
Mrs. Kathy Sweet joined our practice as a Hygienist in 2009. She was born and raised in Bethlehem PA where she graduated from Northampton College and received her Dental Hygiene education. Due to her husband’s profession she has moved many times and been licensed as a Hygienist in 5 different states. She has worked in General practice, Esthetic Dentistry, Dental Clinics and spent 10 years working in a Periodontal practice. She offers her patients excellent clinical skills as well as a vast knowledge of modern dental procedures and treatments. She is married to Stephen Sweet, the technical director for Center Stage and the Landmark Theater. They reside in Mechanicsville with their 5-year-old granddaughter and plan on making Richmond home.
Shauna Raub, R.D.H.
Mrs. Shauna is originally from Sarasota, FL. She has been practicing as a dental hygienist since 2007. She graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene. She has also had experience as a dental assistant before she was hygienist, and has been around dentistry since 2003. Shauna has just settled in Virginia with her husband of 10 years and their 3 children. She is excited to be a part of this practice and is very passionate about her work.
Shatia “Tia” Anderson, R.D.A.
Ms. Shatia Anderson is Dr. Babik’s dental assistant. She assists Dr. Babik in achieving beautiful healthy smiles to all of his patients. Tia graduated from Fortis College in 2010 and received her diploma in Dental Assisting. Hard work and dedication helped Tia maintain a 3.7 GPA. She is certified in radiology and loves working at CrossRidge Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. Tia’s favorite dental quote is “Teeth are the Gateway to Good Health.”
Ashleigh Porter, R.D.A. Student (Internship)
“As a dental assisting student completing my internship at CrossRidge Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Babik and his staff have been a pleasure to work with. Every staff member is warm, inviting and delightful to assist you in any way that they can. Dr. Babik is more than happy to answer any questions or concerns that I had during my experience.
